Supporting your local community, cricket and club has never been as effective as it will be this year. The Pitch Project at Tugmutton is going to make an unbelievable difference to the park and the cricketing experience. The club is working hard with community partners to get work completed in 2019 and things are progressing slowly but surely.

Fundraising is tough, but with many of us spreading the word the huge total of £76,000 can be achieved. The project has raised 55% of the funds required (which is an outstanding effort) and we are now looking to the wider community to get behind this project which will see an impact for generations to come.

Locksbottom CC are digging deep and looking to make a huge improvement to the communities facilities at Tugmutton Common. The current cricket pitch is in need of a major overhaul. Increased participation, safety and the love of cricket in the community are all at the heart of driving the change. The reconstruction of the square (wicket) and renovation of the outfield will make an invaluable difference for generations to come.

The club is more than half way to raising the £76,000 estimated cost, but there is still a long way to go. Cricket grounds can easily disappear, and at the club we are aware how lucky we are to have the opportunity to get to work on a project that will result in a first class facility. Having recently installed a state of the art nets facility to practice in, the young and ambitious committee are excited to continue to bring further developments to the park.
